I gotta' brag one second.
I've always said that the best part about working in a New York City church is that there are no better musicians anywhere. At Marble, I have gotten to work with the best of the best.
Wednesday nights, I'm paired to lead worship with Djore Nance, who directs Marble's Community Gospel Choir. He and the choir entered into a contest sponsored by Verizon to find "the best church choir in America." They made it to the regional finals last Friday night in Newark.

They won both audience favorite and the best overall. They'll get to represent us in Detroit at the national finals in November!
And I get to listen to these guys every Wednesday night! It's pretty humbling.
