So I made my local media debut last night on New York 1, which, for those of you who don't live in New York is the local 24-hour news station that is almost universally-beloved here in the city for providing great, succinct, bite-sized portions of news, some of it delivered tongue-firmly-in-cheek. They're news that doesn't take their newsiness too seriously.
Adam Balkin, the tech reporter who filmed, edited, and narrates the story is a terrific guy.
So how do I come off? Pretty low-key, I think. Almost too low-key. It looks like I might have been awake, pacing the hallway, between 3 and 5 AM... which, in fact, I was. And "Topeka" and "Brazil?" Where did I get those places?
I guess I'm most happy that they put in the piece about the "embracing" Christianity, although I wish I hadn't used the word "brand." "Flavor?" "Wing?" What else could I have said?
Oh, well. The one clear verdict is that it's time for a haircut.
