Fixing my dog at Nathan's, 2007

Finally, when our turn came up, we ordered: 2 corn dogs, one original hot dog, and a medium lemonade.

Delicious.

I ate the corn dog first, plain. The corn coating was delightfully sweet--a complement to the beefy, juicy frank within. And so convenient--on a stick--brilliantly portable.

I swigged a bit of the lemonade, and moved to the wiener.

Terrific. Juicy, slightly browned casing. Longer than a "normal" dog, it extends beyond the soft, chewy bun at least an inch on both sides. I like mine with a thin, single line of ketchup.

Washed down with a syrupy but refreshing lemonade.
