Strange. I simply don't understand why Mayor Kasim Reed is trying to draw an end to the Occupy Atlanta protest. The protest will not go away. I just don't believe it will. It will continue. It will re-form. It may get stronger with the help of a clear "opponent" and a narrative of formal persecution.
Why wouldn't Reed use the protests? Nurture them? Support the underlying message and help translate it into policy?
Makes no sense to me.
