Southern Snow

Snowing tonight in Decatur--about 4 inches so far. Really lovely, so long as you've got a safe, warm place like I do right now. Pulling the night shift with MG, who sleeps.

  2. The progression of trees you've posted are very beautiful. Do you remember that when Jews return the Torah scroll to the ark after a reading we sing "Etz chayim hi..." She is a tree of life to which we cling. When we complete the reading of a book of the Torah, we chant the equivalent of "go from stength to strength".

My prayer for you this new year - for all of you huddled in the Decatur snow, and huddled in the heart - is that you go from stength to strength. And, that when the snow clears, MG weathers her new procedures well, combining the best of normalcy and uniqueness.

    Gods blessings,

    Ula
