Chapter 16

Beth and I have so appreciated your prayers for our daughter, Margaret. She continues to do better and we hope to bring her home soon.

Beth has been writing about the journey extensively on our CaringBridge site.

She has also recently had a short essay published on the literary website Chapter 16.

Beth is a gifted writer and her insights will give you some sense of what it is like to be parents for a child like Margaret.

  1. David - the connection between James and Margaret looks amazing here. I am so glad they can manage to be sibs even in these circumstances. And, I don't even have words to describe how powerful I found Beth's essay.

You have quite a family there. Why aren't you smiling? Do I have to add prayers for a better photographer?

  3. The fact that her eyes clearly show that she sees and recognizes her brother is a very good sign. She is already aware of her world in a good healthy way.

It's gonna' turn out okay. The tough times aren't going to last forever.

And how were you able to land such a cute wife? LOL

  7. I ran across your blog while surfing blogs and read the story on your family and daughter. I pray that God will continue to bless you with a tremendous testimony and bless her beyond your wildest dreams.

I would like to share this prayer that God gave me at the beginning of the year. I pray that it blesses you:

Lord, there are places where we are not able to go, so we send your Spirit. There are hearts that we can not touch, so we pray for the power and comfort of the Holy Spirit to minister to them. We also pray for those that will have the opportunity to minister and pray for those who are in need and broken-hearted. Give them wisdom. Help them to minister in a spirit of love, truth and restoration. In the name of Jesus, Amen.

    Peace, Nona (libertyip.blogspot.com)
