The funny thing is...these days anything you can pay to watch on tv, you can generally find for free on the internet..........if you have a connection that is.
we made the same decision about three years ago, or longer. wait, maybe it was four or five years ago now. in our new home we can get one channel without it, but in our old home- zip. billy is right. after a few years we started watching things we wanted to watch thanks to the internet. but overall... the t.v. is OFF so much more often than it is on. as an addict from way back, this is the only solution for me.
hope you continue to feel free.
i kind of wished we had it during the olympics and the convention. but... not like i had time for either anyhow.
Basic cable will be included with my rent in my new place in Philly. While being in grad school and working part time, once I find a job, I'm not sure if I'll have time to watch that much TV. When I lived in Brooklyn I had no TV for 2 years. I've always enjoyed radio and at that time I listened to it a lot. I still do.
Yeah, no more ESPN droning on and on as background noise.

ReplyDeleteNice!
ReplyDeleteI'm trying to convince Matt to do the same. For now I'll have to settle with "No TV in my room" I guess.
