I played The Gotham Gazette Garbage Game and sent 1,897,871 tons of refuse across 13,874,316 miles.
Something's got to happen with all of those things we throw away after we get the brand spankin' new stuff this Christmas.
Hm... I wonder what happens to it? And to the garbage of my 9 million neighbors?
I played the garbage game tonight. Rather sobering. Try it yourself.
This is fun, and depressing at the same time. It certainly reveals how little we really know about what happens once garbage leaves your doorstep. I thought I was doing well re-using, and reducing my waste. It seems such an impossible task to really do everything possible to minimize your waste that it makes me want to throw up my hands and just do whatever.
